Deprecation notice: we no longer actively support the Lansweeper built-in connector. New users should refer to the generic SQL import agent instead. |
The Lansweeper connector for Elimity Insights fetches AD users, AD groups and assets from Lansweeper so you can keep in control of your environment.
Follow the instructions below to set up the connector for your environment.
How it works
- Elimity Insights periodically fetches AD users, AD groups and assets from Lansweeper.
- Write Elimity Insights queries to review and monitor updates to the data, or leverage existing queries.
- Configure these stored queries to take action when the Elimity Insights data changes.
Integration requirements
Setting up a Lansweeper source in Elimity Insights requires:
- a connection string to access your Lansweeper database,
- a user in Elimity Insights with the role Connector Admin or higher.
Integration instructions
Follow the following steps to set up a Lansweeper source in Elimity Insights:
-
Identify which database server Lansweeper is using, as explained in the Lansweeper documentation. This connector only supports connecting to SQL server instances.
- Connect to the identified server manually and create a user (e.g.
elimity-insights) with read-only access to the Lansweeper database (lansweeperdbby default). - Provide the connection parameters and the newly created user’s credentials in Elimity Insights. Make sure the database server is publicly accessible as explained in the Lansweeper documentation.
Changelog
v3.37.0
- The connector is now replaced by the generic SQL import agent and immediately logs an error message explaining this.
