The SCIM connector for Elimity Insights fetches users and groups from a SCIM server so you can keep in control of your environment.
Follow the instructions below to set up the connector for your environment.
How it works
- Elimity Insights periodically fetches users and groups from a SCIM server.
- Write Elimity Insights queries to review and monitor updates to the data, or leverage existing queries.
- Configure these stored queries to take action when the Elimity Insights data changes.
Integration requirements
Setting up a SCIM source in Elimity Insights requires:
- HTTP credentials for an account with sufficient access at your SCIM server,
- a user in Elimity Insights with the role Connector Admin or higher.
Integration instructions
Follow the steps below to set up a SCIM source in Elimity Insights:
- As a first step, we recommend creating a dedicated user account for the connector at your SCIM server. This allows you to grant it a minimal amount of privileges. More specifically, the connector will only use the `GET /Users` and `GET /Groups` endpoints. We also recommend generating a secure password for the new user account.
- In Elimity Insights, provide the following configuration options for the SCIM connector:
- Base URL: the SCIM server's URL (eg. https://api.slack.com/scim/v2).
- Username: the name of the newly created user account.
- Password: the generated password for the newly created user account.
